Officers from Goldsboro PD A Shift responded to a breaking and entering call at Apt 701,
191 Piedmont Airline Rd around 1:20 AM Thursday morning 9-11-08. As the officers were arriving, Sgt G. Nance observed a male subject walking down Piedmont Airline Rd and, after getting a clothing description of one of the subjects involved, that subject was detained by Officer D. Elliott.

Wayne County Sheriff Sgt J. Smith and his K-9 partner also responded at the request of Cpl K. Rabun to assist with tracking a subject that left out the rear of the residence. The K-9 followed a trail that lead right to the subject being detained by Officer Elliott. The subject was identified as Jermel Wallace. Mr. Wallace was taken to the Goldsboro Police Department and, after being interviewed by Investigator C. Crawford, Mr. Wallace was charged with 1st Degree Burglary to the apartment and placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $4,999.00 bond.
