On September 5, 2008 at approximately 12:30 p.m. “C” Shift officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to 1503 Catalpa St. in reference to suspicious activity at that vacant residence. Upon arrival officer located 24 year old Mario Applewhite and 24 year old Mike Green inside the residence.
Officers also found copper tubing that had been cut from the inside of the residence and cutting tools belonging to the two individuals inside the residence. Officers later learned that the two individuals picked up the keys from the property manager acting as if they wanted to rent the residence. Both suspects listed below were charged with larceny and $350 worth of damage to the residence. Both Applewhite and Green were placed in the Wayne County Jail under $2,500 secured bond each.
